Usually the Add/Drop Period is the first 2 weeks of class. During this period you may attend the first day of class and decide if you would like to add or drop the course.
Please keep in mind that after this period you will not be able to add/drop any courses during the semester.
Every semester you can withdraw only ONE COURSE, and it will be recorded in your transcript.

If you decide to become an NTU undergraduate international students or change your major, you have two channels through which you can apply for a transfer: "International Sophomore Entry" and "NTU Internal Transfer Application."
If NTU international students are unable to continue their studies in their original department due to conflicting interests, they can fill out the Special Request Form. After obtaining signatures and comments from the original department, the department they wish to transfer to, and the Office of International Affairs, they can submit the Special Request Form as a supplementary document when applying for transfer. With the approval of the department they wish to transfer to, they may be granted admission more flexibly.
Eligibility:
(1) Students who are qualified as international students according to the MOE’s “Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan.”
(2) International students enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university in Taiwan, who have completed at least two semesters of undergraduate studies before enrolling at NTU.
Or, students pursuing a bachelor’s degree at a foreign university, who have completed at least two semesters of undergraduate studies before enrolling at NTU.
Notes:
(1) Students who have studied in Taiwan as overseas Chinese students cannot apply for transfer through this channel.
(2) Please check if the department you wish to transfer to is open for transfer applications.
(3) If admitted, students will enter the sophomore year.

You need to register every semester at NTU by paying the tuition and fees on time, usually due before the first day of class. Tuition fees vary depending on each college, the level of your degree, the year of your study, and your student status. Check the NTU Tuition & Fees Payment Invoice webpage for the total amount due. You can pay your tuition at any bank and ATMs, including the Postal Office Bank available on campus.
You may apply for a Certificate of Enrollment only after paying the tuition fee.

If you would like to engage in part-time jobs or internships in Taiwan (either on or off campus), you must obtain a valid work permit before starting work. Engaging in employment without a proper work permit may result in fines and could lead to immediate expulsion from Taiwan. Also, keep in mind that you can only work up to 20 hours per week while classes are in session.

You are enrolled in the Group Medical Insurance (GMI) until you are eligible for the National Health Insurance. The GMI fee is collected along with your tuition and is not refundable.

After you meet residence requirements, we will help you to enroll in the National Health Insurance (NHI).Please upload the electronic File of your ARC in the International Degree Current Student System:

The NHI fee is also collected along with your tuition per semester. You may be required to transfer your NHI out of NTU in the event of a leave of absence, withdrawal, graduation, or transfer to a new school.

You may be expelled from Taiwan if let your ARC expire. Take note of your ARC expiration date and apply for an ARC extension within 30 days of the expiration date.
