Inaugural International Alumni Homecoming

Every year, NTU welcomes thousands of international students. Last week, NTUOIA held its first International Alumni Reunion. Sixty alumni from 20 countries including the US, Indonesia, Vietnam, Nepal, Turkey, and Saint Lucia returned to campus for the event. Among them were graduates who had been away for over 20 years, as well as those who traveled from afar to join their alma mater in celebration.

Many alumni have chosen to stay in Taiwan after graduation, contributing to various fields such as technology, higher education, and government. Prof. Hsiao-Wei Yuan, the Vice President International Affairs expressed hopes that by establishing an alumni network, NTU’s influence could be strengthened globally, providing more resources to current students and fostering the development of the university.

During the event, students from Africa, Latin America, Indonesia, and Malaysia accompanied by senior alumni toured the campus, reminiscing about their own experiences at every corner on campus. It was heartening to see everyone come together, sharing laughter and joy while catching up with old friends. Looking forward to the next reunion, let’s continue creating more beautiful memories together!
