Steps for Scholarship Extension
- The scholarship stipend can only be remitted after the recipient completes the registration procedure before the start of each semester( February and September).
- Recipients have to upload/update the following documents to the International Degree Current Students System:

Taiwan Government Scholarships
MOE Taiwan Scholarship
- The stipend will be remitted by the middle of each month.
- *Any remaining fees the scholarship recipients must pay themselves.
【Scholarship Details】
- Tuition and miscellaneous fees waived up to NTD 40,000 (exclusive of insurance, internet, and accommodation fees).
- Monthly Stipend
- Graduate: NTD 20,000/month
- Undergraduate: NTD 15,000/month
【GPA Standard】
- Undergraduate: 2.44
- Graduate: 3.38
- If the recipient fails to pass the grade point standard in the fall semester, the scholarship stipend will be suspended for the following April.
- If the recipient fails to pass the grade point standard in the spring semester, the scholarship stipend will be suspended for the following November.
- If the recipient fails to pass the grade point standard for two consecutive semesters, the scholarship will be revoked.
【Note】
- The scholarship will be revoked if the student pursues studies abroad as an exchange or dual-degree student. Remaining stipends may not be retained or deferred. The student’s scholarship will be suspended if they depart Taiwan.

MOFA Taiwan Scholarship
- The stipend will be remitted by the middle of each month.

- Reduced tuition fee (to the local Taiwanese student tuition rate)

- If the recipient fails to pass the grade point standard in the fall semester, the scholarship stipend will be suspended for the following April.

2025 Taiwan Scholarship Recipients Gathering
- Office of International Affairs is not in charge of the monthly stipend remittance. The exact date of remittance depends on the Accounting Office and the Cashier Division.
- Please note that each year, the January stipend may be delayed because of the changing of the fiscal year. The schedule of remittance may also be delayed in February due to the Lunar New Year holiday.
- Scholarship information will be sent to the recipient’s NTU email. Scholarship recipients should check their school email regularly for the latest information.

Eligibility
- Current international graduate student at NTU
- Master’s students under the 2nd year; PhD students under the 4th year
Scholarship details
Award: Tuition waiver up to NTD 65,000 and monthly stipend (provided by the advisor or the department, and may come with corresponding responsibilities as assigned).
Note: Tuition fees of up to NTD 65,000 will be waived. This is exclusive of administrative fees, thesis advisor’s fees, insurance, accommodation, internet service, credit fees, and other such fees, which the recipients shall bear on their own.

NTU Loyalty Award for Overseas Degree Students.
Eligibility
Students accepted in master programs shall have ranked in the top half of their class during the semester before their application.
Scholarship details
Master Program: NTD 100,000 (USD 3,333)
Master’s awardees will receive NTD 50,000 following the registration of their 2nd and 3rd semesters respectively.
PhD Program: NTD 200,000 (USD 6,667)
Doctoral awardees will receive NTD 50,000 following their registration of each semester from the 2nd semester onward until the total amount is awarded.

The monthly stipend is NT 75,000 for September and February, and NT 15,000 for each of the other months (a total of NT 300,000 per academic year).

Scholarship Program Description for International Industrial Talents Education Special Program
【Eligibility】
International students, overseas Chinese, Hong Kong and Macau students at the 3rd or 4th year of NTU undergraduate programs for the 2025 September semester.
【Award】

- The scholarship can be received for a maximum of two years.
- Tuition and miscellaneous fees for up to two years after enrollment. The subsidy is capped at NT$50,000 per semester and NT$100,000 per year. For the second year, students enrolled in Chinese-taught classes must achieve a level of proficiency in Mandarin Chinese of TOCFL Level B1 or above, while students enrolled in English-taught classes must achieve a level of proficiency of TOCFL Level A2 or above, in both the listening and reading sections. Additionally, they must pass the review of grades and performance by the school and partner company to be eligible for continuous grant funding.
- Monthly living allowance: Depending on each partner company. To continue receiving the allowance in the second year, students must pass the review of grades and performance by the school and the partner company.

【Award】
NTD 120,000/academic year
