NTU Health Center offer National Health Insurance to service NTU students, academic staffs, their families and people non related to NTU. The Health Center mainly offers diagnosis service provided by doctor-in-charge of the NTUH (National Taiwan University Hospital) Department of Family Medicine. The center also offers services provided by doctors from other specialties to create a NTUH-like high-quality and complete first-line medical service. The center has two professional school doctors from the Family Medicine background, several registered nurses and other medical professionals including pharmacist, radiologist ,medical technician and nutritionist.
The center was established to provide:
A promotion of the physical and mental health of academic staffs and students
A disease prevention for academic staffs and students.
They also provide Health Examination for undergraduate students entering in Fall semester.
The CSW consulting specialists serve as students’ advisors for campus adaptation. They are stationed in selected colleges to provide consultations as primary prevention interventions. After understanding students’ needs and situations, CSW consulting specialists will coordinate relevant resources and arrange referrals, thereby assisting and empowering the students to solve their problems with the help of the entire counseling network at NTU. Currently, we have six consulting specialists responsible for six colleges, including the College of Liberal Arts, the College of Social Science, the College of Law, the College of Bio-resources and Agriculture, the College of Life Science, the College of Management, the College of Science, and the College of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science. Student Counseling Center
The NTU Student Counseling Center was established in 1964 to help students work through their adjustment problems and promote their mental health and psychological well-being.
Currently, a team of 23 full-time professional counselors including psychologists and social workers provides variety of mental health services to all NTU students. Part-time counselors are available for individual therapy during day time and evening hours. English counseling is available for international students. Students are welcome to make their intake appointment online. Referrals can also be made by students, staff and faculties. After the intake session, further services can be arranged for the students’ benefits.
The Counseling Center is open from Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm During the summer and winter break, the center will be closed at 12:00 pm to 01:30 pm for lunch break.
